Starting care

A clear beginning.

From your first request to an individualized treatment plan.

01

Request care

Select Request Appointment to open the secure appointment calendar and share the care you are seeking. Your information stays in the practice’s secure patient workflow.

02

Receive confirmation

Requests are reviewed for clinical fit. A confirmed appointment and the next steps come from the practice. Sending a request alone leaves the appointment pending.

03

Prepare for your visit

Use your portal invitation to complete intake forms and review consent and financial policies. The preparation guide covers what to bring.

04

Begin with a psychiatric evaluation

Every appointment is with me. We explore your concerns, discuss clinical impressions, and identify next steps.

Before you arrive.

Check the arrival guide for parking and building entry. For remote appointments, follow your secure telehealth invitation.

Questions before starting care.

Will the first visit include a prescription?

Medication recommendations follow an individualized clinical assessment. The first visit may lead to prescribing, further information gathering, therapy recommendations, or a combination of next steps.

Can I receive care while seeing another therapist?

Yes, when the arrangement fits your clinical needs. With appropriate permission, coordination can help align psychiatric care with your existing treatment.

What if I need help right away?

Messages and appointment requests are reviewed during practice availability. For immediate danger, call 911. For immediate emotional support, call or text 988. Veterans can call 988, then select 1.
