Your physical location, current practice authorization, and clinical fit are confirmed before each visit. Tell the practice where you will be when requesting an appointment, including any travel plans.

The full range of care, in either setting.

Remote appointments are available for psychiatric assessment, medication management, EMDR, individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, family therapy, group psychotherapy, and treatment planning. Group enrollment and the available session format are confirmed before care. We consider symptoms, history, daily functioning, medication response, and the next steps in your care.

The appointment format depends on your clinical needs. An in-person assessment, laboratory testing, or coordination with a local clinician may be needed for some concerns. Prescribing follows the individual assessment and applicable requirements.

Prepare a space for the conversation.

Choose a private location with a reliable internet connection, a camera, and a microphone. Have your current medication list, pharmacy information, questions, and any requested records available. Join using the secure appointment instructions sent by the practice.

Please remain in a safe, stationary location throughout the visit. Headphones may help with privacy. Tell me if the technology or pace makes it difficult to participate.

Know the plan before we begin.

We confirm your identity, physical location, callback number, and local emergency arrangements. Consent and privacy are reviewed before care. If the video disconnects, follow the reconnection or callback plan agreed at the start.

State availability, clinical fit, appointment type, and financial arrangements are confirmed before your appointment. Insurance participation may vary by state and plan.

Keep your care connected.

With your permission, I can coordinate with a therapist, primary care clinician, or another member of your treatment team. Select the Patient Portal button to open your secure CharmHealth portal for clinical messages, medication questions, and practice instructions.

For immediate danger or a medical emergency, call 911. For immediate emotional support, call or text 988.

Trauma therapy and EMDR by video.

Remote trauma therapy includes preparation, a private setting, a reliable connection, and an agreed plan for pausing or reconnecting. Before EMDR, we review readiness, the method of bilateral stimulation, and how you can return attention to the present. Your response guides whether video or an in-person session is the better fit.

For couples, family, or group sessions, we clarify each participant’s location, privacy, consent, and access to the video visit.

Using Washington L&I?

Claim-related assessment and psychotherapy may be provided by telehealth when authorized. Ongoing mental health care requires an in-person visit at least once every six months under L&I’s telehealth policy. We coordinate the required visit when planning care.
